How do real-world sensory environments impact social behavior?
My research aims to understand how sensory and social processing are related in autism. While it is clear that both social and sensory difficulties are relevant to individuals' lives, it remains a mystery how these difficulties relate to one another and manifest in the developing brain. Currently, I utilize behavioral methods, such as eye-tracking and virtual reality displays. Together, these tools allow us to study social behavior in naturalistic contexts that reflect the complexity of everyday sensory environments.
I'm a student in the Dr. Caroline Robertson's Lab and a member of the Dartmouth Autism Research Initiative.
